WeAreChange supports the NYPD, we realize they can be our best friend, or our worst enemy. We believe in the philosophy of love, and to befriend even those who would be perceived as our enemy. It has been demonstrated by good, conscience-minded officers, that a minority of police in NYC also support us. We have gained their trust and respect by standing up for our rights, supporting the sick and dying 1st responders, and by attempting to educate the police through public outreaches. There are indeed many good police offers in New York City.

These three offers are an example of New York's worst, representing the minority of NYPD. Senseless unprovoked murder on our city streets can not stand. Without question 50 shots fired, killing an unarmed young man is unacceptable, and these officers who made this egregious mistake must be held accountable; for murder is murder. There is so much corruption in this city, in this country, in this world, that all we can do as an organization is take each instance on a case by case basis. Stand up when we see an opportunity and seize the moment. We continue to fight for the constitution one person at a time, whether it is a first responder, a WeAreChange member, or a citizen enjoying his wedding day like the murdered Sean Bell. The NWO can take our heartbeat, but they can't break our soul. We all shall be free, They will never take control. We all stand before you as one.
