Street Action

Location: Ground Zero, 1st Vesey Street between Church & Broadway(along black fence), 2nd Vesey Street East of Church lined up against Postal Building across from Gated WTC site down to Path Station, 3rd
‘Remembrance Fountain’ in front of Building 7 parallel to Path Station (Giant Red Bulbs water fountain) followed by march.

When: 8am-1pm

What!?!?: Okay, the location segment seems tricky, we know. This is how it pans out…

The early birds will start arriving around 7am, at this time we will line up peacefully along the black fences of St. Paul’s Chapel on Vesey Street btwn Church St & Broadway. We will stay here til approx 8:30am.

At 10:30am we will peacefully and respectfully march in form towards the Path Station, down Vesey St(East). Again, we will line up along the postal service building(across from the gates of the WTC site).

It is there where we will wait through the moments of silence, paying respect to the victims & grieving family members. The name calling ceremony usually lasts from 8am-12pm with two moments of silence at 8:45am and 9:03am. During this time it is important to show the utmost respect for those who lost their lives that day and their grieving families, friends, as well as brothers & sisters from FDNY, NYPD, PAPD. Please, no bullhorn’s, shouting, screaming, yelling, accosting passerby’s, fighting, etc during this time. It is crucial that we do not engage in any negativity, we will have security present throughout the day, like every year, ensuring that we keep everyone safe & remain peaceful.

This year there will be an “Anti-Mosque” rally as well as the usual Agent Provocateurs. PLEASE DO NOT engage with any of them, regardless if you are against or for the Mosque. If they scream, yell, argue, dress up in dragon costumes, dance around naked, please remain silent & walk away. We cannot let this distraction take away from our message for Truth and Justice, especially for the 9/11 First Responders.

Around 12pm, we will gather at the ‘Remembrance Fountain’ in front of Building 7. Here we will call the names of ‘Forgotten Heroes’. The First Responders who lost their lives after 9/11 and are not acknowledged during the “official” name calling ceremony at Ground Zero.

At approx 1pm, we will leave the fountain and begin a march. Police Plaza, City Hall and up Broadway…

We will end at INN Studios, 56 Walker Street. Here you can go back to your hotel or housing arrangements, shower, eat, nap and come back for the PM Panels starting at 5:30pm.

AGAIN?!?! Oil Rig Explosion in Gulf of Mexico

(Associated Press)NEW ORLEANS, La. – An oil platform exploded and caught fire Thursday off the Louisiana coast, spreading a mile-long oil sheen into the Gulf of Mexico. All 13 crew members were rescued.

Coast Guard Petty Officer Bill Coklough said the sheen, about 100 feet wide, was spotted near the platform, 200 miles west of the site of BP’s massive spill. Firefighting vessels were battling the flames.

The company that owns the platform, Houston-based Mariner Energy, did not know what caused the blast, which was reported by a helicopter flying over the area. Seven Coast Guard helicopters, two airplanes and three cutters were dispatched to the scene.

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal said Mariner officials told him there were seven active production wells on the platform, and they were shut down shortly after the fire broke out.

The platform is in about 340 feet of water and about 100 miles south of Louisiana’s Vermilion Bay. Its location is considered shallow water, much less than the approximately 5,000 feet where BP’s well spewed oil and gas for three months after the April rig explosion.

Responding to any oil spill in shallow water would be much easier than in deep water, where crews depend on remote-operated vehicles access equipment on the sea floor.

A homeland security update obtained by The Associated Press said the platform was producing 58,800 gallons of oil and 900,000 cubic feet of gas per day. The platform can store 4,200 gallons of oil.

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said the administration has “response assets ready for deployment should we receive reports of pollution in the water,” Gibbs said.

Crew members were found floating in the water, huddled together in survival outfits called “gumby suits.”
“These guys had the presence of mind, used their training to get into those gumby suits before they entered the water,” Coast Guard spokesman Chief Petty Officer John Edwards said.

The crew was being flown to a hospital in Houma. Coast Guard Cmdr. Cheri Ben-Iesau said one person was injured, but the company said there were no injuries.

A company report said the well was drilled in the third quarter of 2008.

There are about 3,400 platforms operating in the Gulf, according to the American Petroleum Institute. Together they pump about a third of the America’s domestic oil, forming the backbone of the country’s petroleum industry.

Platforms are vastly different from oil rigs like the Deepwater Horizon. They are usually brought in after wells are already drilled and sealed.

“A production platform is much more stable,” said Andy Radford, an API expert on offshore oil drilling. “On a drilling rig, you’re actually drilling the well. You’re cutting. You’re pumping mud down the hole. You have a lot more activity on a drilling rig.”

In contrast, platforms are usually placed atop stable wells where the oil is flowing at a predictable pressure, he said. A majority of platforms in the Gulf do not require crews on board.

Many platforms, especially those in shallower water, stand on legs that are drilled into the sea floor. Like a giant octopus, they spread numerous pipelines across the sea floor and can tap into many wells at once.

Platforms do not have blowout preventers, but they are usually equipped with a series of redundant valves that can shut off oil and gas at different points along the pipeline.

Numerous platforms were damaged during hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The storms broke pipelines and oil spilled into the Gulf. But the platforms successfully kept major spills from happening, Radford said.

“Those safety valves did their job,” he said.

Federal authorities have cited Mariner Energy and related entities for 10 accidents in the Gulf of Mexico over the last four years, according to safety records from the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement.

The accidents range from platform fires to pollution spills and a blowout, according to accident-investigation reports from the agency formerly known as the Minerals Management Service.

In 2007, welding sparks falling onto an oil storage tank caused a flash fire that slightly burned a contract worker. The Minerals Management Service issued a $35,000 fine.

Mariner Energy Inc. focuses on oil and gas exploration and production in the Gulf. In April, Apache Corp., another independent oil company, announced plans to buy Mariner in a cash-and-stock deal valued at $3.9 billion, including the assumption of about $1.2 billion of Mariner’s debt. That deal is pending.

On Friday, BP was expected to begin the process of removing the cap and failed blowout preventer, another step toward completion of a relief well that would put a final seal on the well. The Deepwater Horizon exploded April 20, killing 11 people and setting off a three-month leak that totaled 206 million gallons of oil.

I DON’T CARE? by Greg Fernandez Jr.

I DON’T CARE

“Yes you do.”

“No, I don’t.”

“Yes.”

“No.”

“Come on.”

“No!”

“Well, you don’t have to yell.”

Sometimes when people can’t argue a point they argue a behavior. If they can’t get you angry, they will try, try again. If that doesn’t work, they usually attack you. If that doesn’t work, fists fly like a UFC Heavyweight title fight. Sometimes.

There really is no point in speaking with someone if you have to argue with them to make your point. If they begin with their point before you’ve finished your own, either they’ve heard this statement before, or they just want their own opinions to be known. As Alex Jones said, “you can have your own opinions, but you can’t have your own facts.”

To separate fact from fiction, we have to be willing to examine why some people see their opinions as facts. The number one thing to look out for if you fall into this category of confusing facts with opinions is “Pride.” Pride can be very blinding. Pride can put a mask over the face of truth. Pride can cover with a blanket the bed of truth. Pride can suffocate the air of truth.

Yet once you look past your own pride, there are many barriers left o climb in order to separate fact from fiction – or fact from opinion. John F. Kennedy died. That is a fact. It is also a fact that he was assassinated. It is my opinion that he was killed by at least some elements within the U.S. government, through the CIA. It is an opinion that Oswald killed Kennedy. There are a few facts to prove this is an opinion.

1- He was never tried for the crime.

2- The Warren Commission report was flawed and omitted testimony of shots being fired in the grassy knoll area.

3- Eyewitnesses have turned up dead.

4 – No one saw Oswald do it.

Of course there are many other facts that prove this point that “it is an opinion that Oswald, by himself, killed Kennedy. It is not a fact, for it cannot be proven and evidence exists that contradicts the little proof to the Warren Commission’s claims. Yet because the citizens of this country were told that Oswald did kill Kennedy, alone, they accepted it as fact, when they should have called it an opinion – or fiction!”

It is an opinion that the truth will never come out. It is a fact that there is video evidence that shows the fatal shots to our president. It is a fact that the Zapruder film was given to the Warren Commission “in reverse mode” in order to add facts to the claim that Kennedy was killed from behind. Yet when the video “error” was corrected, the Zapruder film clearly showed that the kill shot to Kennedy forced his head to go “back and to the left.”

I was watching Oliver Stone’s JFK before 9/11 happened. That movie would set the stage for future events, culminating with me being of the opinion that “9/11 was an inside job.” There would be many facts to back up this opinion, but I didn’t have those facts until I began researching it for myself. Anyone who is of this same opinion will have to research for themselves. If thousands, possibly millions of people can research who is going to be the next great football player, or who should be in their fantasy drafts for the coming year, these same people can just as easily go to Infowars.com, wiki world order.org, and other sites to get factual data on 9/11, government sponsored terror, and issues such as “do we need the Federal Reserve?”

Some people call that politics. 9/11 is not a political issue at heart. JFK’s death is not a political issue, just because it has a politician in it. 9/11 didn’t, unless you are talking about our government and how they responded to 9/11. It’s not a political issue, it’s an issue between life and death. It’s an issue about murder. It’s an issue about truth. More so, it’s an issue about caring for others. If you don’t give a crap about others, why would others give a crap about you?

Do unto others as you would want others to do unto you.

In my opinion, 3,000 people dying in cold blooded murder is not a political issue. Soldiers dying for an illegal war is not political. It’s about life or death. If we speak about truth regarding these issues we are alive. If we run away from these issues we are killing ourselves, softly. For a long time, I didn’t speak out about a family issue because I had no respect for myself. I didn’t care about myself, so I had little care for others; at least on the outside.

Never again. Never again will I shut up while innocent people are being hurt. Never again will I be quiet when someone calls a conspiracy theorist crazy. Never again will I be afraid to be beat up, hand cuffed, or to have a gun put in front of my face. I only fear what every man and woman should fear. I only fear God. For God is the unknown in my life. I know God through faith, through the Bible, and through my actions, but I have never seen God.

Now evil…that is a different story. I have seen evil face to face. I have lived with it, grown with it, and I have condemned it. Evil cannot stop me. Evil cannot break me. Unless it be God’s will, evil cannot kill me. So why fear evil? Why fear death? For in death I will get what Jesus Christ and the Bible have promised…salvation.

I do not believe that Christianity is a religion but for the sake of argument, it is the only religion that promises a free gift. It’s the only religion that has its reward already bought and paid for. Our sins are forgiven, if we believe, if we have faith. This concept is hard for many people to understand. This is the concept that has set me free of “worldly burdens and hardships.”

I am alive because of God. I have survived the evil of my past and have emerged into a rider on the storm, a walker, following the trail of Jesus Christ – and if only I could touch but the garment of his shoulder…I will be healed. For faith has set me on this path to find truth, and to speak out against evil wherever it may be.

I do not confront evil. I do not have to. Evil will find me in due time. All I must be is a servant of God, and a believer that Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins and my sins are forgiven. Knowing this, why would I fear death? Why would I fear the shadow government? Why would I fear evil? Evil will continually tempt me, but if I am rooted in the footsteps of Jesus Christ, who can be against me?

FALSE FLAGS: FIGHTING TYRANNY

The Art of Tyranny

“Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men’s views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.” – Woodrow Wilson (The New Freedom, 1913)

Photograph by Ilya Petushkov ©

The real menace of our republic is this invisible government

which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy length over city, state and nation. Like the octopus of real life, it operates under cover of a self created screen…At the head of this octopus are the Rockefeller Standard Oil interests and a small group of powerful banking houses generally referred to as international bankers. The little coterie of powerful international bankers virtually run the United States government for their own selfish purposes. They practically control both political parties.” – New York City Mayor John F. Hylan, 1922

Aristotle Politics book V xi :

As to tyrannies, they are preserved in two most opposite ways. One of them is the old traditional method in which most tyrants administer their government…There are firstly the prescriptions mentioned some distance back, for the preservation of a tyranny, in so far as this is possible; viz., that the tyrant should lop off those who are too high; he must put to death men of spirit; he must not allow common meals, clubs, education, and the like; he must be upon his guard against anything which is likely to inspire either courage or confidence among his subjects; he must prohibit literary assemblies or other meetings for discussion, and he must take every means to prevent people from knowing one another (for acquaintance begets mutual confidence).

This is the rulebook for oppression, how to keep the masses separated, ripping their confidence and spirit to shreds, for the good of the nation. “He must take every means to prevent people from knowing one another,” confirms how important it is for a tyrant to keep people divided. The old divide and conquer technique. “Literary assemblies” and “meetings of discussion” are a major threat to tyrannical governments. Knowledge and education are the shield to battle tyranny. So it’s important for them to horde as much knowledge as they can, while making it virtually impossible for the commoners to achieve such wealth of knowledge. Let’s continue…

Further, he must compel all persons staying in the city to appear in public and live at his gates; then he will know what they are doing: if they are always kept under, they will learn to be humble…” Spying, wire-tapping, government surveillance, sound familiar?

…A tyrant should also endeavor to know what each of his subjects says or does, and should employ spies, like the ‘female detectives’ at Syracuse, and the eavesdroppers whom Hiero was in the habit of sending to any place of resort or meeting; for the fear of informers prevents people from speaking their minds, and if they do, they are more easily found out.

This next set of rules hint at the false flag scenario, keep your people fighting amongst themselves, so they don’t fight against you, the tyrant. “Another art of the tyrant is to sow quarrels among the citizens; friends should be embroiled with friends, the people with the notables, and the rich with one another.”

This next quote is similar to creating a great depression, which arguably, our country is in today. “Also he should impoverish his subjects; he thus provides against the maintenance of a guard by the citizen and the people, having to keep hard at work, are prevented from conspiring…

Notice how our taxes go up, but they never come back down. Over the years, our tax system gets worse and worse, yet our cost of living does not match the rising costs of property, income, and sales taxes. “Another practice of tyrants is to multiply taxes, after the manner of Dionysius at Syracuse, who contrived that within five years his subjects should bring into the treasury their whole property.

Of course, what tyranny would be complete without pointless and endless wars? “And the tyrant is also fond of making war in order that his subjects may have something to do and be always in want of a leader. And whereas the power of a king is preserved by his friends, the characteristic of a tyrant is to distrust his friends, because he knows that all men want to overthrow him, and they above all have the power.

The power belongs to the people, unless you can oppress the people for so long that they forget they have any power, and fall asleep. It’s time for us to wake up and exercise our power, like we exercise our muscles. Just as you can exercise your muscles without using violence, so too, can you practice your rights in the same manner. Never forget this! The power is in your hands. The government of any free society is the people. If we don’t get involved and practice our rights, how will we know when we have lost them?

Now is not the time to regress, to crawl into a hole and wait for the end of the world. Now is the time to take peaceful action, in any way you choose to. We are, have been, and will continue to seek the truth. What we do with truth is up to each individual.

“The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the larger centers has owned the government ever since the days of Andrew Jackson.” – President Franklin D. Roosevelt (A letter written to Colonel House, November 21st, l933)

Alex Jones on Anderson Cooper

“Think about it,” Alex Jones told Anderson Cooper, “You got CNN, who was the biggest group, along with Fox, pushing WMDs in Iraq, and they knew it wasn’t true.”

“It’s come out the Pentagon and CIA literally run CNN,” Alex continued. “They just pose as liberals to cover up what they’re doing. Left-right manipulation. And it’s angry to me to have these people that go to their cocktail parties and feel like they’re great liberals when they’re really a bunch of propagandists helping to destroy our country. Pushing the banker bailout takeover and the carbon taxes. These are really despicable people.”

They ask Alex about a new term called “hatriots.” What do you think of the term hatriot and are you a hatriot?

“Oh absolutely. Distrusting your government, hating despotism and corruption is as American as apple pie. I mean, have you read George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin? I absolutely hate it when the cops shoot a handcuffed youth in the back and then cover it up. I absolutely hate it when trillions of dollars are stolen in the banker bailout and then the Federal Reserve won’t tell us where the money went. I love my country, I love my constitution, I love my republic. But I hate and fear the corrupt foreign corporate interest that have hijacked our nation and are using our government as a tool and suck our country dry, like Argentina, or Nigeria, or Greece…I hate Hitler, I hate Stalin, I hate Mao, I hate Fidel Castro, I hate Polpot, I hate all despots, and by any historical yardstick, America is sliding quickly into full [blown] scientific, 21st century tyranny. And you better believe I hate seeing my country, where I have 3 children, being destroyed and bankrupted by design. And watching Herman Von Rupey, the head of the E.U., and Ban Ki Moon, the head of the U.N., and Gordon Brown, the Prime Minister of England, all say global government is here, run by banks, and they’re gonna levy carbon taxes on it and then mainstream news runs pieces saying we’re crazy, world government doesn’t exist. You guys still think you got the people bamboozled and conned. You don’t. They see the world leaders calling for world government, and then they see you saying it doesn’t exist. And that’s why you’re losing all credibility. So keep pushing it because the American people are awake. CNN and Fox and MSNBC and all of you who sit there on the perches of the false left-right paradigm, with the false debate going on where you try to sucker people into your false reality. It’s over, the people are awake and the new world order needs to back off and realize they should cut their losses now, because the awakening is on.”

“Presidents come and go, but the secret teams run by the big Wall Street banks that set up the CIA rule this country and by extension, the world.” – Alex Jones

“Stop voting for democrats and republicans. I don’t care who you vote for, don’t vote for them,” said Jesse Ventura on the Alex Jones radio show. It’s true. If more people voted for a third party, instead of the same old two choices, perhaps we could inject common sense into our political landscape. Ventura sums it up by saying, “They’re the problem, they’re not the solution.”

Though you may not agree with everything in this book, I thank you for taking the time to read this information. That is the most important step; stop, read, learn, and speak. This book will be continued in “Something Stinks” and “Made In The USA,” which are inspired by all truth tellers, truth seekers, and truth finders. The future is in your hands now. For books about inspiration and motivation, please read my brothers books, First Day of School and The Rocky Balboa Syndrome by Manuel Fernandez. Truly inspiring books from a person who is actively seeking truth. If we don’t seek truth, how would we find it?

The movement for truth is just beginning. Almost 10 years after 9/11 happened, we have so much more work to do. Yet we have come so far since the days of ignorance. One day we will correct the history books. One day, all of the conspirators and accomplices of the Twin Towers attacks, JFK’s, Martin Luther King’s, Malcolm X’s, and RFK’s murder will face their maker and answer for their crimes. That much, I have no doubt of. Until then, it’s up to the people to spread the truth, question the lies and fight for our freedoms. A false flag operation only works if we believe it.

Risk-Taking Rises as Oil Rigs in Gulf Drill Deeper

(NYTimes)In a remote reach of the Gulf of Mexico, nearly 200 miles from shore, a floating oil platform thrusts its tentacles deep into the ocean like a giant steel octopus.

The $3 billion rig, called Perdido, can pump oil from dozens of wells nearly two miles under the sea while simultaneously drilling new ones. It is part of a wave of ultra-deep platforms — all far more sophisticated than the rig that was used to drill the ill-fated BP well that blew up in April. These platforms have sprung up far from shore and have pushed the frontiers of technology in the gulf, a region that now accounts for a quarter of the nation’s oil output.

Major offshore accidents are not common. But whether through equipment failure or human error, the risks increase as the rigs get larger and more complicated.

Yet even as regulators investigate the causes of the Deepwater Horizon disaster, the broader dangers posed by the industry’s push into deeper waters have gone largely unscrutinized.

“Our ability to manage risks hasn’t caught up with our ability to explore and produce in deep water,” said Edward C. Chow, a former industry executive who is now a senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. “The question now is, how are we going to protect against a blowout as well as all of the other associated risks offshore?”

Dangers do not directly increase with greater depth, according to experts like Mr. Chow. But they do rise as exploration and production rigs become more complex and more remote.

Perdido, for example, is more than a 20-hour supply boat journey from shore — far enough out that a major fire could burn out of control before assistance arrived. Hurricanes regularly batter the region with giant waves and winds exceeding 100 miles an hour. Underwater, both powerful currents and mudslides play havoc with delicate equipment and the pipelines that bring oil and gas back to shore.

The water temperature, which hovers at just above freezing at depths below 3,000 feet, can harden natural gas into crystallike structures called hydrates that can clog pipelines and other equipment. And because the wells are deeper than human divers can go, oil companies must rely on remote-controlled submarines to maintain their equipment or perform repairs.

Oil industry officials, while acknowledging the risks, say safety concerns are overblown.

Chris Smith, a senior manager at Royal Dutch Shell in charge of running Perdido’s production, said that projects like Perdido were engineered with multiple safety barriers and redundant systems.

“We’ve proven over the years, and the decades, that if the reserves justify it, we will find a way to do it,” Mr. Smith said. “The trick is how to do it safely.”

Perdido, which means “lost” in Spanish, is at the cutting edge. The deepest offshore platform in the world, it is intended to pump oil from 35 wells over the next two decades.

Like dozens of other deepwater facilities that have sprung up in the gulf in recent years with names like Blind Faith, Mad Dog and Atlantis, Perdido uses the latest technology to tap offshore oil fields that were previously inaccessible.

In contrast to the Deepwater Horizon, a floating rig that was focused on drilling new wells, the Perdido platform is a vast hub that can drill and pump oil from wells across 30 miles of ocean floor. Below it is a subsea cityscape of pumps, pipes, valves, manifolds, wellheads and blowout preventers — all painted a bright yellow so as to be visible to the floodlights of the remote-controlled submarines that maintain it.

Shell, in reducing the weight of the platform, which can produce up to 130,000 barrels of oil a day, is among the first companies to use a new technique: instead of pumping the drilled liquid to the platform and separating the oil, gas and water there, as is typically done, engineers installed new separation equipment directly on the sea floor. While that improves efficiency, the equipment is also more difficult to monitor and fix than if it were on the platform.

Thomas M. Leschine, a marine expert at the University of Washington, Seattle, said oil companies and regulators have become complacent about the growing risks of offshore drilling because accidents are so rare.

“It’s clearly in the interest of the industry to believe their activities are safe,” said Mr. Leschine, who testified before Congress about safety issues in June.

Engineering innovations during the 1990s, like better seismic imaging technology, greatly pushed the boundaries of deepwater production — traditionally defined as deeper than 1,000 feet of water.

More than 20 percent of all bids in the gulf last year were for leases in water deeper than 6,500 feet. The deepest well in production in the gulf — Perdido’s Tobago well — lies in 9,600 feet of water. Meanwhile, new ships that can drill in 12,000 feet of water have recently arrived in the gulf.

Problems are more common than the industry likes to admit.

Traficant Lashes Out at Power of Israel

(American Free Press)Ohio Congressman Jim Traficant went into prison unbent and unbowed and—despite seven years behind bars—the outspoken Ohio populist remains unbent and unbowed.

On Sept. 10—just a few days after arriving home from prison—Traficant appeared on Fox News as a guest of reporter Greta Van Susteren and demonstrated, once again, that he is the same no-holds-barred critic of special interest influence over the U.S. government that he was during the 18 years he served in Congress (1989-2002).

Assessing his years of torment and imprisonment by the federal authorities Traficant summed it up as follows:

I didn’t give a damn what they did to me. And from this day forward, talking with you, I don’t give a damn what anybody does to me. I’m going to say what I think is right, I’m going to do what I think is right. And if it offends some people, then so be it. But if you’re a politician and you support me, you’re in trouble. If you’re a businessman and you give me money on my finance report, you get audited. I was a target. And you know what I’m most proud of? That I was that target. I must have been doing something damn right. I was doing the right things.

During the interview with Fox News, Traficant made a number of comments about political realities in America that, in the estimation of many viewers, were some of the most candid reflections ever heard live on the air from an American political figure.

Following the interview, the elite Jewish Telegraph Agency—which bills itself as “the definitive source for American Jewish community news and opinion” and as “the global news service of the Jewish people”—issued a blast at the former congressman, saying, “James Traficant has come out of prison spewing conspiracy theories about Israel.”

What was it that Traficant said that so exercised the JTA and other powerful pressure groups such as the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, which consistently agitated against Traficant during his years in Congress?

First of all, Traficant dared to say that he was, in his words, “the number one target of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.” He went on to assert: I believe that Israel has a powerful stranglehold on the American government. They control the members of both the House and the Senate. They have us involved in wars in which we have little or no interest. Our children are coming back in body bags. Our nation is bankrupt over these wars. And if you open your mouth, you get targeted. And if they don’t beat you at the polls, they’ll put you in prison.

As far as Israeli influence on U.S. affairs, he said that his comments were “an objective assessment that no one will have the courage to speak about,” adding “they’re controlling much of our foreign policy. They’re influencing much of our domestic policy.”

He added: We’re conducting the expansionist policy of Israel and everybody’s afraid to say it. They control much of the media, they control much of the commerce of the country, and they control powerfully both bodies of the Congress. They own the Congress.

Traficant pointed out that between the direct foreign aid grants to Israel, along with all of the other benefits including trade compacts, economic and military assistance, “Israel gets approximately $15 billion a year from the American taxpayers. That $15 billion is $30,000 for every man, woman and child [sic].And people in my district are losing their pension benefits. So, I was targeted big-time.”

He pointed out that pro-Israel forces—such as Paul Wolfowitz—manipulated then-President Bush into invading Iraq and that they also pushed Bush to invade Iran. When asked by Fox’s reporter if he was an “anti-Semite,” Traficant said he wasn’t but “that’s exactly what they’re going to say, and I expect that.” Rather, he said: What I am is an American. You see, I think America comes first. And we have a one-sided foreign policy in the Mideast, and we’ve alienated Arabs who have no way of fighting. So, what they’ve done—and I predicted this on the House floor—is they would export violence to America. And they have. They have no other way to fight. I think President Obama knows this. I think he sees this. I think he wants to do something. I think his hands are tied, and I think he’s dancing between the raindrops, trying to figure how I can politically machinate some scenario to mitigate these problems. I’m saying this. America is in danger if Americans doesn’t take back their government without foreign influence, interference.

Traficant also pointed out that another reason he became a target of influential American Jewish organizations and their allies in the Justice Department and its “nazi-hunting” Office of Special Investigations was the fact that he came to the defense of John Demjanjuk. Certain American Jewish organizations had accused the Ukraine-born Demjanjuk of having been a concentration camp guard during World War II. Demjanjuk insisted that he was not the alleged “Ivan the Terrible” (as the camp guard was supposedly known by the inmates). However, only Traficant came to Demjanjuk’s defense.

Having come to recognize Demjanjuk had been railroaded, Traficant used the powers at his disposal to investigate the affair. Ultimately the Israeli Supreme Court set aside Demjanjuk’s conviction and the death sentence.

Traficant flew to Israel to bring Demjanjuk home and, as Traficant pointed out, as far as the Israeli Supreme Court was concerned, he “gave them credit—big time.”

It’s no coincidence that the very week Traficant himself was ultimately sentenced to jail, the Cleveland Plain Dealer’s Sunday magazine interviewed Eli Rosenbaum, the staff director of the OSI, who said, “There’s only one member of Congress who has ever tried to take us on and interfere with our work, and he will be sentenced in federal court.”

Pulling no punches in his interview with Fox, Traficant charged the Justice Department and the OSI of having suborned perjury in its efforts to destroy Demjanjuk. But, as Traficant pointed out, the OSI continued to pursue Demjanjuk and just a few months ago he was deported to Germany where he now faces another war crimes trial.

“If someone doesn’t look into this,” Traficant told Fox News, “ the American people should be ashamed of themselves. When you allow one American to be violated, you threaten the freedoms of every American.”

Discussing his imprisonment, Traficant reflected on his years behind bars and the apparent determination of the authorities in D.C.—not the guards at the prisons where he was jailed—to make his life as hard as possible:

For me, it was tough. The first place I went was Allenwood, and I think the reason I [was sent] there is there were a lot of illegal immigrants there. And they knew I had [advocated] troops on the border [to block illegal immigration]. I think I was put in a position [by enemies in the government] to be hurt.

When I was at Allenwood, I had a guy say—he would refute this—but he said, “My mother’s your biggest fan. Watch yourself.” We can’t even [do anything] with you: everything is coming out of Washington.

Before long, I was in the hole. They were my captors. I didn’t give a damn about them. I had nothing to do with them. And the hole didn’t bother me. It gave me time to think. Most political figures go to some camps in country clubs. I didn’t. I went through some tough times.

Traficant noted that, while in Congress, he had put forth legislation to stop putting non-violent offenders, including those suffering from drug addiction, into prisons.

However, he said, “now what you have is, they want to keep the prisons open, keep the jobs going [to keep the federal prison bureaucracy and the private prison industries operating]. They’re putting 20, 30 years on some of these young people, and it’s out of hand.”

N.Korea accuses S.Korea of blocking access to Twitter

SEOUL (AFP) – North Korea accused The South Monday of blocking its people from accessing online social-networking sites launched by the secretive communist country.

Pyongyang opened a Twitter account on August 12 after its foray into popular video-sharing website YouTube, prompting a game of online cat-and-mouse with Seoul which has struggled to stop its citizens following The North’s official website, Uriminzokkiri.

South Korea has been “crazy to stop its people from gaining access to video and messages posted on our YouTube and Twitter,” said a statement seen on the North’s website.

“This proves the group of traitors is an anti-unification faction, which does not want (inter-Korean) dialogue and cooperation,” it said, adding the South’s “dirty” move will only aggravate confrontation on the peninsula.

The North has used its Twitter account, opened under the name @uriminzok, to link to stinging statements against Seoul and the US posted on its official website.

Seoul has warned South Korean web users they face punishment for seeking to reply to or retweet North Korean messages, but Pyongyang has quickly gathered more than 10,000 followers.

North Korea, one of the world’s most controlled states, is believed to have an elite unit of hackers, but few of its citizens have access to a computer, let alone the Internet.

The North also launched its Facebook page on August 19 to post video links, wallpostings and pictures of happy picnickers, grassy parks and colourful landmarks from across Pyongyang.

Facebook is more expansive than Twitter as it allows users to upload a wide variety of multimedia contents. But the North’s Facebook disappeared only four days after its launch.

The (South) Korea Communications Standards Commission said the US-based Facebook operator appeared to have cancelled the North’s account because it did not meet required standards.

“The US operator appeared to have cancelled the North’s account,” a commission spokesman told AFP.

The watchdog has led a campaign to stop the North’s online propaganda through Twitter and YouTube.
